Things To Do In Black Mountain, North Carolina

Black Mountain is a beautiful small town to visit by yourself, with friends, with family, in general; your loved ones. That's why in today's post I'm going to share with you a little itinerary of the things you can do  in Black Mountain, North Carolina.

First, of all, where is it located? Black Mountain is a town in Buncombe County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 8,426 at the 2020 United States census. It is part of the Asheville Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Why is Black Mountain so famous? Black Mountain is nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, offering stunning vistas, hiking trails, and access to beautiful natural landscapes like Montreat and the Pisgah National Forest. Outdoor Activities: The area is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts.

Things To Do In Black Mountain, NC:

1. Go for a hikeMany of the Black Mountain area's best trails are in nearby Montreat. Among the great trails in this community is the Graybeard Trail. It’s an easy to moderately strenuous hike, but the payoff is a view from the sixth highest peak in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Another popular, but challenging hiking spot is Lookout Trail. Here you’ll see sweeping views of the area including the Seven Sisters mountain range.

2. Walk through the downtown & visit local shops. Walking through the small town it's beautiful by itself and peaceful. You can also stop by to visit the local, cute, small shops in every corner. Buuy sovenirs and visit the cute book store: Sassafras Bookstore & Toy Store.

3. Places to Eat. Every time I go to Black Mountain I love visiting "My Father's Pizza & Pasta", such an amazing indoor & outdoor restaurant, with amazing food and the perfect restaurant to visit in spring if you are in the Black Mountain area. After having an amazing meal it's a necessity a good dessert, right?  That's why you should visit "Berliner Kindl German Restaurant", this restaurant it's perfect for a sweet treat and coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. I haven't tried their food yet , but I bet it's amazing.

4. Visit "Lake Tomahawk". Lake Tomahawk Park provides users a place to play, walk, swim, gather, commune and relax within a 16.3-acre parcel located centrally in Black Mountain. Lake Tomahawk is fed by Tomahawk Branch and spans 8.9 acres in size. The dam, which creates the lake itself, was constructed between 1933 and 1935. A perfect place to end your day in the Black Mountains. Plus you can bring your dog and walk around the lake with him/her. It's a beautiful and peaceful park to relax and meditate while you enjoy of the beautiful view.
