China- China, officially the People\’s Republic of China, is a country in East Asia. It is the world\’s most populous country, with a population of around 1.4 billion. China covers an area of approximately 9.6 million square kilometers, it is the world\’s third or fourth-largest country. China has been the world\’s fastest growing economy for the last 30 years (10% or more per year). It is now the world\’s second largest economy, its 2016 GDP being 11.4 trillion USD. China is known as the factory of the world. It is the world\’s largest producer of concrete, steel, fertilizer, clothing and toys.

Thailand- Thailand is a Southeast Asian country. It\’s known for tropical beaches, opulent royal palaces, ancient ruins. Thailand also has many islands that are well known that have numerous resorts for tourists. Thailand is also a fantastic place for watersports and boat trips around the stunning islands.

Japan- Japan is an island country in East Asia, located in the northwest Pacific Ocean. It is bordered on the west by the Sea of Japan, and extends from the Sea of Okhotsk in the north toward the East China Sea and Taiwan in the south.Japan is home to more than a dozen UNESCO World Heritage sites and is the birthplace of sushi, one of its most famous culinary exports. The country has developed many forms of martial arts. Its most famous traditional sport is sumo wrestling, which can trace its origins to the 8th century.

Malaysia- Malaysia is a Southeast Asian country occupying parts of the Malay Peninsula and the island of Borneo. It\’s known for its beaches, rainforests and mix of Malay, Chinese, Indian and European cultural influences. The capital, Kuala Lumpur, is home to colonial buildings, busy shopping districts such as Bukit Bintang and skyscrapers such as the iconic, 451m-tall Petronas Twin Towers. With a total landmass of over 300,000 square kilometers, Malaysia is known for its capital city of Kuala Lumpur, a powerhouse financial and business hub in South East Asia, as well as its beautiful beaches, secluded islands, elevated hill stations, and UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Hong Kong- Hong Kong, officially the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People\’s Republic of China, is a metropolitan area and special administrative region of China on the eastern Pearl River Delta in South China. Hong Kong is known the world over as a glamorous city and a top choice for luxury shopping. But this city-state is steeped in culture and history, and has a lot more to offer than mouth-watering dim sum and an impressive skyline. 

Macau- Macau is an autonomous region on the south coast of China, across the Pearl River Delta from Hong Kong. A Portuguese territory until 1999, it reflects a mix of cultural influences. Its giant casinos and malls on the Cotai Strip, which joins the islands of Taipa and Coloane, have earned it the nickname, \”Las Vegas of Asia.\” One of its more striking landmarks is the tall Macau Tower, with sweeping city views. 

Vietnam- Vietnam is a Southeast Asian country known for its beaches, rivers and bustling cities. Hanoi, the capital, pays homage to the nation’s iconic Communist-era leader, Ho Chi Minh, via a huge marble mausoleum. Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) has French colonial landmarks, plus Vietnamese War history museums and the Củ Chi tunnels, used by Viet Cong soldiers. Vietnam is known for being a popular tourist destination because of its beautiful beaches, it\’s culture, amazing food (like pho), and friendly people. Vietnam is also famous for the Vietnam War, motorbikes (86% of households have one), Vietnamese coffee, floating markets and rice terraces.

India- India, officially the Republic of India, is a country in South Asia. It is the second-most populous country, the seventh-largest country by land area, and the most populous democracy in the world. India is known for many, many different aspects such as food, culture, its massive population, its natural landscapes, its languages, classical dances, Bollywood or the Hindi film industry (famous Indian figures such as Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai), birthplace of yoga, , natural beauty, …

South Korea- South Korea, an East Asian nation on the southern half of the Korean Peninsula, shares one of the world’s most heavily militarized borders with North Korea. It’s equally known for its green, hilly countryside dotted with cherry trees,  plus its coastal fishing villages, sub-tropical islands and high-tech cities such as Seoul, the capital. South Korea is famous for being the land of kimchi, K-pop, K-dramas, tech giant Samsung, automotive manufacturer Hyundai, soju, Korean fried chicken, Koreanbarbecue, the 12-step skincare routine, and of course, Gangnam Style.

Indonesia- Indonesia, officially the Republic of Indonesia, is a country in Southeast Asia and Oceania between the Indian and Pacific oceans. It consists of over seventeen thousand islands, including Sumatra, Java, Sulawesi, and parts of Borneo and New Guinea, covering an area of 1,904,569 square kilometres. Although their food is delicious and their traditions are pretty interesting, the main reason why Indonesia is famous is its places. More than 20 million people visit Indonesia per year, and its basically because they want to see their famous beaches, (active) volcanoes and fantastic landscapes.
