Paris– Paris, France\’s capital, is a major European city and a global center for art, fashion, gastronomy and culture. Nicknamed \’Nissa La Bella\’ – Nice the beautiful, in the local dialect – this Mediterranean seaside city benefits from an all-year-round warm and pleasant climate.Nice is known for its fantastic climate, fabulous beaches and beautiful coastline with mesmerizing views. Also for its fantastic architecture with Belle Epoque and Baroque influenced buildings.
Bordeaux– Bordeaux, hub of the famed wine-growing region, is a port city on the Garonne River in southwestern France. It\’s known for public gardens line the curving river quays. The grand Place de la Bourse, centered on the Three Graces fountain, overlooks the Miroir d’Eau reflecting pool. Bordeaux is of course famous for its vineyards, legendary chateau and wine. But the city is also a popular tourist attraction with an incredibly long and rich History of Bordeaux that dates back to the days of the ancient Romans when it was known as Burdigala.
French Riviera– The French Riviera (or Côte d\’Azur) is the Mediterranean coast of southeastern France. It includes famously glamorous beach resorts such as Saint-Tropez and Cannes, and the independent microstate of Monaco. A health retreat in the 18th century, the area later attracted aristocrats, artists and the 1960s \”jet set.\” Today it’s an established holiday destination, with paths connecting many coastal villages and towns. The French Riviera is known for its beaches, views, picture perfect water, yachts and as a playground for the wealthy. It also has charming towns and villages (and Monaco, which is an independent state) and a highly regarded art and culture scene.
Strasbourg– Strasbourg is the capital city of the Grand Est region, formerly Alsace, in northeastern France. It\’s also the formal seat of the European Parliament and sits near the German border, with culture and architecture blending German and French influences. Strasbourg plays a major role as a business, commercial, and cultural centre. Besides its traditional role as the chief city of Alsace, Strasbourg is also the seat of a number of European institutions and bodies including the European Parliament, the Council of Europe, and the European Court of Human Rights.
Lyon– Lyon, the capital city in France’s Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, sits at the junction of the Rhône and Saône rivers. Its center reflects 2,000 years of history from the Roman Amphithéâtre des Trois Gaules, medieval and Renaissance architecture in Vieux (Old) Lyon, to the modern Confluence district on Presqu\’île peninsula. Traboules, covered passageways between buildings, connect Vieux Lyon and La Croix-Rousse hill. The city is known for its historical and architectural landmarks and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Lyon was historically known as an important area for the production and weaving of silk and in modern times has developed a reputation as the capital of gastronomy in France.
Chamonix– Chamonix-Mont-Blanc (usually shortened to Chamonix) is a resort area near the junction of France, Switzerland and Italy. At the base of Mont Blanc, the highest summit in the Alps, it\’s renowned for its skiing. Year-round, cable cars take visitors up to several nearby peaks with panoramic views, including Aiguille du Midi above town, and Pointe Helbronner, across vast glacier fields on the Italian border. Chamonix has been a world-renowned ski resort ever since the Winter Olympics of 1924 were held here. Six different ski areas cater to all levels, from beginners to extreme skiers. Besides skiing, Chamonix is one of the best places to visit in France for hiking, rock climbing, paragliding, golf, and tennis.
