Puerto Rico Travel Tips

Puerto Rico Travel Tips

Hi, I am Stacey the founder of StacePlores. In August 11, 2021 i visited Puerto Rico, my beautiful Island (I\’m boricua) and i can tell and share some tips that might help you if you are thinking or are going to visit Puerto Rico. To begin i can tell that Puerto Rico is so beautiful, their people is so friendly and cheerful, the beaches of the island are incredibly beautiful, the food amazing like always. It makes you feel like you in another planet of colors. But eve tho is so beautiful i want to share with you, some pictures that i took by myself and share with you some tips to have in mind, that personally had helped me.

Hot weather– Even tho the temperatures are not that high by numbers, it feels completely different  when you are there. Being honest the sun burns and it feels so hot. So, even tho if you are not going out or walking by the streets or something, always use sunblock, it will help you, trust me. And if you are going to the beach use long sleeve shirts (like the ones the surfers use). And if your skin feels burn, use aloe vera gel, it will help you. Use glasses, hats, just protect yourself from the sun.

Early in the morning– If you are going to the beach, go early in the morning, it would feel better and more relaxed, baceuse no-one will be there. Normally, in the weekends is when people go to the beach and is full, so if you go in the middle of the week, there\’s a probably that no soul will be there. I do suggest you to go in the morning to try to avoid the sun and the crew. One of the benefits to go early is that you will have the whole beach for yourself and that will be able to take pictures of the sunrise. Well, Puerto Rico has nearly 300 beaches, so you have a lot to chose and which one will benefit you better.

Try new things– When i say try new things i mean it. Try new food, puertorican food is so delicious. Try: \”alcapurias, mofongo, tostones, piña colada, empanadilla de pizza, etc…\”. Be ready to eat a lot and enjoy it. Also try, to do things out of your comfort zone, for example: \”scuba diving, snuba diving, zipline, visit the Yunque, surf, and more…\”. Do things that will makes you feel good and to make memories that you would never forget.

Travel with light luggage– Travel with just things that you will need. About the clothes, bring light and summer clothes. Because being realistic even tho you don\’t want to spend money, you will, you will buy a lot of things and suvenirs. And carry cash, most of the places don\’t accept cards, it might be because they don\’t have system. It happened to me, i did\’t bring any cash and i struggled for it.
