Hello everyobody! How are you today? I know a lot of people that loves national parks but most of them just recognize or know the most common ones, not the different, unique ones, that’s why in this post I’m gonna share with you: “3 National Parks To Visit In The East Of The United States Of America”. When you hear the word “national parks”, what comes to your mind? Maybe, being in a beautiful fun place with a good landscape enjoying with family? But what is a national park? It is a scenic or historically important area of countryside protected by the federal government for the enjoyment of the general public or the preservation of wildlife. Some of these parks might be located in Northern or Southern areas.

Let’s get in…

Acadia National Park is a 47,000-acre Atlantic coast recreation area primarily on Maine’s Mount Desert Island. Its landscape is marked by woodland, rocky beaches and glacier-scoured granite peaks such as Cadillac Mountain, the highest point on the United States’ East Coast. Among the wildlife are moose, bear, whales and seabirds. The bayside town of Bar Harbor, with restaurants and shops, is a popular gateway. What is so special about Acadia National Park? Acadia is famous for its stunning fall foliage, but it is also beautiful in the winter, when it is often blanketed in white. Winter scenic drives and hiking are thus popular options. Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing are wonderful ways to see the park in winter, and volunteers sometimes even cut trails.

An observation tower tops Clingmans Dome, the highest peak, offering scenic views of the mist-covered mountains. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is home to an array of natural and man-made attractions. The park offers miles of wooded trails, stunning waterfalls, winding scenic drives, more than 90 historic structures and lots of educational exhibits.

Cuyahoga Valley National Park

Cuyahoga Valley National Park lies along the Cuyahoga River between the Ohio cities of Cleveland and Akron. The Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath Trail is a restored section of the canal’s original towpath. In the park’s north, the Canal Exploration Center details the 19th-century waterway’s history. Towering Brandywine Falls is one of several waterfalls. The Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad runs through the park. The park is a refuge for native plants and wildlife, and provides routes of discovery for visitors. The winding Cuyahoga River gives way to deep forests, rolling hills, and open farmlands. Walk or ride the Towpath Trail to follow the historic route of the Ohio & Erie Canal.
