Why Visit The Blue Ridge Parkway In Fall?

Hello everyone, hope you’re having an amazing day. How’s October going so far? For me it’s been exciting and busy but also chill. These days have been a bit cold, but I love it. I’m so excited for the full change of colors on the trees. Yesterday I was visiting the Blue Ridge Parkway to see how is fall looking up there, and the colors aren’t that bringt yet but they’re still so pretty, but it’s cold, so if you’re planning to visit the Blue Ridge in the next days or weeks bring a jacket or coat you’ll need it, trust me. That’s why in this post I’m going to share with you why visit the “Blue Ridge Parkway”.

Blue Ridge Parkway

The Blue Ridge Parkway is a National Parkway and All-American Road in the United States, noted for its scenic beauty. The parkway, which is America’s longest linear park, runs for 469 miles through 29 Virginia and North Carolina counties, linking Shenandoah National Park to Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

How long does it take to drive the Blue Ridge Parkway? About ten to twelve hours. This is why the parkway is the most visited single unit in the U.S. National Parks System. Driving straight through without stopping would take about ten to twelve hours, but three to seven days is needed to explore it well.

Is there a fee to drive the Blue Ridge Parkway? There is no entrance fee for traveling the Blue Ridge Parkway. Fees are charged for camping, and Interagency Senior or Interagency Access Pass (or Golden Age or Golden Access passes) passholders are entitled to 50% off the camping fee.

Why visit Blue Ridge Parkway in Fall? Fall is one of the most popular and busy seasons for the Blue Ridge Parkway, when people from all over the world travel the parkway to see the fall foliage. October is one of the busiest months of the year for the Blue Ridge Parkway, which historically welcomes nearly two million visitors over the course of those 31 days.

My favorite spot to appreciate and enjoy of the Blue Ridge Parkway is the “Linn Cove Viaduct” for me personally it has the best view…
